Dallas Vitamins:
Choosing the Right
Multi-Vitamin Supplements

Dallas Vitamins - Multi-vitamin supplements differ in
effectiveness, quality, and product safety.

Dallas,TX, May 15,2006: According to USDA studies, less than 3 percent of Americans eat a balanced diet. Fewer than 1 in 50,000 achieve the recommended daily allowance (RDA) of 10 essential vitamins and minerals. As a result, top medical associations and health organizations now recommend supplements as “prudent” for complete nutrition.

Food supplements are not regulated or standardized by the Food and Drug Administration. This means virtually any product can be sold. As a result, assuming two brands of product are the same is a big mistake. Choosing the wrong product can have strong negative effects on your health.

Labels Can Lie

Two products that appear to have the same nutrients may not have the same health effect on the body. For example, a recent study revealed synthetic vitamin E (dl-alpha tocopherol) was found to be less absorbed into the bloodstream and excreted more rapidly from the body than natural vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol). Notice the only difference is one has the letter “l” and the natural version does not.

Buyer Beware!

Since 1993, the FDA has received over 7,000 reports of people suffering adverse reactions as a result of using supplements. Many dietary supplements contain compounds other than those on the label, at different dosages or contaminated with potentially dangerous substances such as pesticides, bacteria, and even lead and glass.

Many Dallas vitamin products are even coated with shellac which is nearly totally resistant to the penetration of stomach fluids!

Classifying Dallas Vitamins

There are three different classifications of vitamin products:

1. Synthetic sources of Dallas Vitamins are characterized as man-made, contain no enzymes, are generally imbalanced, and contain many harsh binders and fillers.

2. Natural extracts have weak enzymes, contain artificial colors and sweeteners, and generally have harsh binders and fillers.

3. Organic/unaltered Dallas Vitamins are considered the best quality because they have strong enzymatic action. They are manufactured at cool temperatures to preserve all nutrients and have no chemical processing. They also have other nutrients only found in food-like phytonutrients.

Keys to a Good Product

The keys to choosing a good vitamin supplement are knowing what is referred to as the 3 P's.

  • Purity refers to the quality of the ingredients in a product. Choose organic/unaltered sources for their strong enzymatic action, balance, and phytonutrients.

  • Potency refers to levels of nutrients that are strong enough to be effective. A good product should have at least 100 percent of the RDA for all essential vitamins and minerals. Check especially for 100% of the Biotin, which is often left out of inferior products.

  • Performance refers to proof that the product actually gets into the bloodstream and delivers nutrients to the cells. Good products will have published “peer reviewed” clinical studies proving their efficiency and “bio-availability” or absorption.
  • Conclusion

With the need and widespread awareness of vitamin supplementation today, it’s important to become informed and choose a product that’s safe. Choose a product that is organic/unaltered for it’s purity, complete potency, and ability to clinically perform and deliver results.
