Water has no chemicals and will not cause your blood sugar to spike. There is no caffeine to stress your heart or potentially cause your blood pressure to spike. Staying hydrated is important when you are exercising so drinking plain and simple water is a safe way to insure fluid losses from exercising are replaced.

Know What You Are Drinking

There are some energy drinks that are being made with less caffeine and sugar substitutes, but you still need to double check all of the ingredients. Because they are called “energy drinks” or “sports drinks”, many people assume the drink is healthy. That is not true and being an informed consumer is important for health in Dallas.

There are sports drinks on the market which are primarily water, potassium and electrolytes. This would be the best fluid choice after water for people who exercise regularly or participate in intense workouts like those at boot camps.
